INI-Novation Drives I-SEAMORE Visibility in Key European and National Forums

INI-Novation, a vital partner in the I-SEAMORE project, has significantly bolstered the project’s profile and strategic direction through active participation in several influential forums and working groups throughout 2024 and 2025. This engagement ensures the I-SEAMORE solution is aligned with major EU data ecosystem initiatives and national digital strategies.

Spotlight on Baden Campus Future Navigator Forum

On March 24, 2024, INI-Novation actively participated in the Baden Campus Future Navigator Forum. This event provided an excellent platform to share I-SEAMORE’s advancements with a wider audience.

An INI-Novation representative served as a speaker, sharing insights likely related to the business and innovation aspects of the project. The event showcased innovative technology, including surveillance drones used in test flights – a relevant parallel to I-SEAMORE’s focus on innovative maritime surveillance.

Leading the Way in Key Working Groups

INI-Novation has committed substantial time to several high-impact working groups, translating the project’s business model discussions into actionable insights for the broader digital community.

Gaia-X – EU Data Ecosystems
INI-Novation has been a consistent voice in the Gaia-X – EU Data Ecosystems working group, attending over 10 meetings throughout 2024 and 2025. This dedication has led to significant speaking invitations:

  • Recognition of Expertise: The INI-Novation team has been invited to present the results of I-SEAMORE’s business modelling discussions at two major events:
    • The Gaia-X Summit in Helsinki in November 2025.
    • The subsequent Gaia-X Summit in Porto later in 2025.

Marispace-X: Maritime Digital Data Sharing Ecosystem
In the Marispace-X initiative, focused on a maritime digital data sharing ecosystem, INI-Novation has actively contributed to the discussions. These online exchanges, organized by Acatech (the Gaia-X Hub Germany), occurred approximately six times per year across 2024 and 2025. This involvement is crucial for positioning I-SEAMORE within the German maritime digital landscape.

EIT Manufacturing: EU Knowledge Innovation Community (Business Creation Team)
Demonstrating leadership, INI-Novation took the initiative to organize working group meetings for the EIT Manufacturing Business Creation Team. These successful meetings were held twice between March 2023 and July 2023, fostering collaboration and driving forward innovation in the manufacturing sector (highly relevant to the components and technologies used in maritime surveillance).

INI-Novation’s consistent presence and thought leadership in these forums and working groups are instrumental in shaping the market acceptance and strategic direction of the I-SEAMORE project, ensuring its successful integration into Europe’s emerging data ecosystems.
