The I-SEAMORE project successfully concluded its final demonstration and event on September 16th and 17th in Tróia and Setúbal, Portugal. The two-day event brought together project partners, stakeholders, and end-users to witness the platform’s capabilities and discuss the future of integrated maritime surveillance.
Live demonstration proves I-SEAMORE’s operational readiness
The event kicked off on September 16th at the CEOM (Centro de Experimentação Operacional da Marinha) in Tróia, Portugal, with a live demonstration of the I-SEAMORE platform. Participants, including consortium members and invited external guests, observed the technology in action during two key use-cases: drug smuggling and illegal immigration. The demonstration highlighted the platform’s ability to provide a comprehensive, real-time picture of maritime activity, showcasing its technical readiness in an operational environment.
Conference in Setúbal
On September 17th, a full-day conference was held at the Hotel Cristal in Setúbal, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The conference featured valuable insights from key external experts, including a keynote from Marco Nardella, Head of Specialised Activities Sector from FRONTEX, and a presentation from Anais Manchon, Policy Officer in HOME.F2 Innovation and Security Research.
The conference also included a dedicated stakeholder feedback session, which was organized by project partner ISIG, as part of the project’s participatory monitoring and evaluation framework. This session allowed for direct input from end-users, ensuring the project’s outcomes align with real-world needs.
A focused session on access-to-market strategies, organized by project partner INI-Novation, was also a key highlight. This session facilitated direct exchanges between technology providers and potential end-users, paving the way for the future exploitation and commercialization of the I-SEAMORE technologies.
The I-SEAMORE Final Demo & Event marked a significant milestone, confirming the project’s achievements and setting the stage for the practical application and wider adoption of its innovative maritime surveillance solutions!
